Dr. Hearn served United Methodist congregations throughout the Panhandle of Texas and New Mexico as pastor for thirty-eight years. Receiving a bachelor of science degree from Texas A&M University in 1966, Buff experienced a dramatic call to fulltime Christian service in 1971 and entered Asbury Seminary to pursue this divine appointment to serve the Body of Christ.
Graduating in 1975 with a Master of Divinity degree, Rev. Hearn returned to Texas from Kentucky and begin to serve the congregations of the United Methodist Churches of the Northwest Texas Annual Conference. Rev. Hearn returned to Asbury Seminary for further academic training, receiving a doctoral degree from this esteemed institution in 1987.
Not only has Buff continued to improve his skills and expertise in the ceramic arts over the years, the principles of pottery design and creation expands immeasurably the comprehension of the eternal truths of God's intimate relationship with His creation, and His loving formation of the human spirit into the likeness of His Son.
Unique pieces of stoneware are created in the Parson's Pottery & Gallery from the basic substances of God's creation by the hand of one gifted and empowered by divine grace and love. These works of art and function came into being to be a blessing to those who own them. Parson's Pottery is a ministry of blessing. A blessing doubles when it is shared with someone else. 100% of the profit of the sales of stoneware pieces is directed toward funding missions projects around
the world.
Each piece of stoneware from Dr. Hearn's Gallery contains no lead and is safe for use in microwaves or conventional ovens. All ceramic items produced by Parson's Pottery are unconditionally guaranteed against breakage or chipping resulting from faulty craftsmanship. |
